A brilliant trip!Staff great, slight issue with boat 1 1/2 hrs into a 2hr trip. There has only ever been one recorded death and that happened in 1933 due to a vast number of stings.Common symptoms include swelling, itching, numbness, headaches, joint aches, and occasionally vomiting. There is no guarantee of this, we have been out in the past and not seen them (you are almost guaranteed to see seals tho). !Amazing everytime we come on these trips.

The blood loss won’t be high and this will help to clear your body of some of the toxins.The worst of the pain generally happens around 30 minutes following the sting and then will gradually subside. Can't wait to go on it again. 10/10 would go again Simply perfect!

Great treat for the holiday. Field Guide to Wilderness Medicine. Weever fish can deliver a nasty sting that can put an abrupt end to fun on the beach or in the surf. The conditions were a little choppy and I was doubtful we'd see anything, but the skills of the crew spotted a pod and the dolphins played around our boat for 15-20 mins before we headed back towards shore.While going past the beautiful Cornish coastline, the crew spotted (I still don't know how...very eagle eyed!) Our adventure was topped with spotting seals & visiting a very impressive blowhole. Huge thanks to the crew whose skill & knowledge made this possible! They got close enough for a clear view, but not too close to harass or endanger the animals.The rib ride itself was worth the money, and everyone found it extremely fun.We first saw a seal in a bay, and then saw the nesting spot for some puffins (it was out of season, but saw a lot more seals on the island).We then went looking for Common Dolphins. Elsevier. Food is not overpriced.

Well, as pointed out to us by our 'captain' we were in nature and not a zoo. Ian the skipper was an absolute professional and the guide was very knowledgable. They are also able to spend long periods of time outside the water and therefore can often be found anywhere along the beach.If someone tells you about a fish that can sting then your first impression might be to think of the likes of a jellyfish or a stingray that enjoy shallow waters. Consult a doctor about treatment with available medications. We seen some seals unfortunately no dolphins.
If more serious symptoms are presented, like breathing difficulties, then seek emergency help, especially for people who are susceptible to allergies.As well as following the steps of the basic treatment as above, you want to make sure that there aren’t any of the fish’s spines still in the wound. What are Weever Fish? The water needs to be as hot as you can bear, but still comfortable enough to place your feet into. But most people compare it to a bee sting and say the most intense pain passes fairly quickly.Thankfully it’s not going to be life-threatening.
Kev the skipper was brilliant, loved the speed, bumping over the waves and the slalom at the end!! Waterproof clothing supplied and it was definitely required. Lots to see and do. We got wet so definitely use their waterproofs.
