I recovered quickly and used a cotton tip to apply the three lines. Then dip the applicator into the jar, scooping out some gel and spread it evenly around the face avoiding the eye and lips. The bad news was that I didn’t really see any change in my cheek – not in texture or in looks – over the ten minutes I had applied the three gel lines, so I was left wondering what the product would accomplish when I applied it for real.The instructions say to thoroughly clean and dry your face before applying the gel. The cucumber one is quite refreshing, but does contain exfoliating ingredients, so I don't leave it on for more than 10 minutes. Once I washed the mask off my skin felt soft and hydrated but I didn’t notice any real detoxifying impact however this may be more apparent on more problematic skin. My face felt squeaky clean and soft afterwards however I feel that I could get the same effects in a lot less time by using a regular foaming cleanser in the shower.
